Learning objectives
Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to :
- Select the antithrombotic treatment better suited for atrial fibrillation (AF) versus venous tromboembolism (VTE);
- Differentiate between the three direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs);
- Evaluate the most appropriate anticoagulant treatment according to patient-specific issues including their current medication;
- Counsel patients on periprocedural management of anticoagulant treatments and their antidotes.
